Warsteiner is coming. As of now, at least.
I finally broke down and called Warsteiner a few minutes ago, just before 9:00. I would have called earlier but I was on the phone with my grandpa for almost an hour - it was his birthday yesterday, and I forgot to call him until it was too late at night, but we had a really good talk tonight, and didn't really talk about his email. Except that he told me there were quite a few pictures of me from over the wedding weekend that he really liked and that I looked really good in. So that was nice of him!
Anyway, to Warsteiner - I called and was pissy that he'd sent that email so long ago and never updated me. So I left him a bit of a snippy message, something like, "Hey there, so dude, I kind of need to know whether you're going tomorrow night. Because if you aren't, I need time to try to find someone else to go so I'm not left paying for an extra ticket. So call me as soon as you can."
Yes, I was kind of short with him. He called back a couple minutes later and sounded sad: "I'm still planning on going, that is, if you haven't already found someone else to go." I told him, no, I was still hoping that he could go. And he said, "I sent you that email earlier because it's just been a really bad week." And I said, "I'm sorry." But no more, I just couldn't, I was still a little pissy. And at the idea that he might stand me up AGAIN for work.
He had to get off the phone right after that and asked if he could call me back in a little bit. I wonder how late he'll stay there tonight and how little sleep he'll be getting tonight. He will probably be exhausted tomorrow at the game. But, he does usually seem to perk up when he's having fun. I'm glad he's going. But I'm still not 100% sure that he won't back out tomorrow. Because sometime in there, along with saying "I'm still planning on going," I think he also said "I still should be able to go." Hmmmm.
However, I'm going to send him an email now apologizing for my very short voicemail. I always feel bad afterward when I'm not nice!! And usually I always am! He's just seen me not nice a few times, and he's one of the only ones! But that's not to say that he didn't deserve it each time!
